Carol Philips founded North Shore Surf Girls with the goal of providing an inclusive, fun and safe experience for people of all ages, from all over the world, to learn how to surf. Growing up on the North Shore she fell in love with surfing and discovered it to be both thrilling and intimidating. Carol is a world champion surfer and even had a role in the Hollywood surfer movie, Blue Crush!

The Project
We helped NSSG with a website redesign from a dated wordpress site to a modern look and improved the user experience optimized for mobile. We also improved the lesson booking experience by building a custom calendar booking system and integrating it with a third-party backend payment system.
All the quality content from the original site’s blog was ported over to maintain search engine rankings and the site was optimized for SEO. We added a google map to make it easy for customers to find the official meeting site at the beach. A photo gallery with high resolution photos shows prospective customers what to expect along with NSSG’s excellent tripadvisor reviews.
We created a seamless experience from surfing the web to surfing the ocean with a couple of clicks.
